Amitabh Reza Chowdhury’s ‘Dhaka Metro’ on Hoichoi
The first ever web series of eminent director Amitabh Reza Chowdhury, titled ‘Dhaka Metro’, will be launched soon on Hoichoi. Hoichoi is Kolkata’s subscription-based video on demand platform that mainly focuses on Bengali content.
Out of the 30 original shows and 12 original films that Hoichoi plans to launch in the near future, Dhaka Metro is its first web series by a Bangladeshi director on the platform.
“It was a great experience working with the Dhaka Metro team,” says Amitabh Reza Chowdhury on his first web series. “We filmed for seven to eight months in North Bengal. I learned a lot from the project.”
The director further added that Hoichoi is the largest subscription based entertainment platform on Bengali content. He wishes to bank on the experience to present more noteworthy works in the future. Nevertheless, he is quite hopeful about Dhaka Metro.
